DUNES

DUNES er en serie på 23 bilder jeg tok på Nordjylland, seinvinters 2017. Alle bildene er tatt rundt Blokhus, med unntak av No.22 og No.23 som er tatt i Skagen, altså på motsatt kyst. Du kan bestille bilder fra DUNES i to ulike format. Det minste formatet er 41 x 58 cm (netto bildemål er 32 x 48 cm). Det har jeg laget et opplag på 28+2. Prisen pr bilde: NOK 4300,- Den andre størrelsen er 90 x 125 cm. Her er opplaget 7 + 1. Pris på forespørsel. Bildene er printet med arkivbestandig blekk på 310 gr Canson Infinity Platine Fibre Rag. Det er et syrefritt og bomullsbasert kunstpapir av svært høy kvalitet, med klassisk barytt-fotooverflate.

“While cataloging and printing some of my personal work from the last few years, I stumbled upon these landscapes from February 2017, taken on the endless beaches of Blokhus, Denmark. The minute they revealed themselves on my computer screen, they evoke a memory, a state of mind, directly connected to that exact moment I stood there on the beach, in the freezing sunset breeze that afternoon over three years ago.

A complexity of emotions, thoughts and sentiments; an overwhelming sensation of beauty. Not, as one might think, as a result of the way the pastelish light shaped the sand dunes and the whitened green straws, but as a result of just being there, in that moment, with everything that moment contained. Without the urge to evaluate it as good or bad, without thought or ambition. Just the rare beauty of realness.”
